Born and raised in the Bronx, Mr. Piergrossi attended Mt. Saint Michaels School, Fordham University, and graduated St. Johns Law School in June 1967. He is married to Diane Piergrossi, and they reside in New Rochelle. They have three children and five grandchildren. Two of his children are attorneys, and they are both married to attorneys.
Mr. Piergrossi has been involved in private practice since 1967, and specializes in personal injury and medical malpractice litigation.
For many years he has tried personal injury cases, prepared appellate briefs, made and opposed extensive summary judgment motions, and prepared memorandums of law in connection therewith. For the past several years he as served as the Managing Partner along with Joseph Corpina. He has successfully handled thousands of cases.
Mr. Piergrossi served as President of the Bronx County Bar Association from July 1, 1999 through June 30th, 2000, Chairman of the Committee on Civil Litigation at the Bronx County Bar Association, and served as a member of the Judiciary Committee.
He is a member of the New York State Trail Lawyers Association, the New York State Bar Association, and has been a member of the Network of Bar Leaders.
He participated in the Jury Project Report of Judge Judith S. Kaye as representative of the Bronx County Bar Association, as well as participating in the formation of the Comprehensive Civil Justice Program.
In 1974 he served as legislative assistant for State Senator John Colandra.
